Soldiers, military families, children from schools, civil service employees, contract personnel and citizens from the surrounding communities Fort Knox, KY., set an unofficial world record Nov. 6 with the largest, yellow-ribbon formation made up of 2,216 people on Fort Knox. The previous world record of 1,358 people was set at the U.S. Army Garrison-Ansbach in Germany on May 14, 2008.
