Some Words from our Presidents

We thought we'd put together some quote from our past Presidents to honor them on President's Day. Some you may have heard before and others may be new to you. Either way, enjoy your day and take some time to brush up on your Presidential History today.

"People and nations are forged in the fires of adversity" - John Adams, 2nd President

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." - Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost."- John Quincy Adams, 6th President

"The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe." - Andrew Jackson, 7th President

"It is not strange . . . to mistake change for progress." - Millard Fillmore, 13th President

"The goal to strive for is a poor government but a rich people." - Andrew Johnson, 17th President

"The only man who makes no mistake is the man who does nothing." - Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President

"America is best described by one word, freedom." - Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President
