I LOVE our troops and their families. I'm an army brat (step-father was active Army guard) and we were stationed at the Pentagon in the 80's. Whenever I sign off on Twitter, I always say "pray for our troops and their families" because without our brave service people, we wouldn't have the freedom topray as freely as we do.

Thanks for hosting this contest! I'm @BearTwinsMom on Twitter.

Warm regards,
Michelle aka The BearTwinsMom

My husband is an Army veteran, and my big brother is an active Army hero. Unfortunately, his MO requires clearance, so we can't know what he's doing or where he's at, so we can't register him to get letters of encouragement.

If you know an active hero, please register them in lieu of Kelly!

Sure why not?! I never win these things... but it would be nice to send some anonymous flowers to some special people in my life and brighten their day. Like my husband. Corny, I know, but I think he would be pleasantly surprised...

Now, how I am connected to the military... I am an ex-Coast Guard wife, current Army wife, and my brother and several friends and cousins are in the military too.

eMOM said...

That's right Military Spouses! You deserve flowers and so do your husbands.

Here's another idea if you win, you can send them to a military spouse you know who may have a spouse deployed. That is sure to brighten their day.

First - good luck on your project.

Second - why do you not have an email contact address? I would have preferred to do this privately.

Third - you have been careless in your attempts at self promotion on other people's blogs. You left your advertisement on the tribute to a fallen soldier rather than emailing it to me. Really tacky. Really, really tacky.

Wow--this is so cool! I'm an Army wife. Hubby's a medic & went to Iraq when he was active duty, now he's in the reserves. Incidentally, hubby uses ProFlowers when he sends me flowers every single month on the 11th! (Yes, ladies, be jealous--he's wondeful!)

Anonymous,

Our contact information is on our sidebar and everyone is welcome to use it.

We've been here for our military service members, military spouses, military parents, children and veterans for 8 years now and are proud to share whatever freebies, discounts or deals we get with our military community.

We had hoped that you would see our comment on your blog as an invitation for you and those your blog supports to come over and enter to win some free flowers.

We're so sorry you saw something negative in something meant to help our military community.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous took the time to hide his/her identity so people wouldn't know what a snark he/she is yet admitted they run the fallen soldier that was visited. That's tacky.

I hope you know that no one is anonymous on the internet.

Since my cousin went to West Point in 1998, I've gotten a crash course in the military, and how to best love and support them. We enlarged our military family with my marine brother-in-law, and I've got several close friends in the military. Since 2003, I've been writing and sending packages to friends, family, and friends of friends and family who are deployed, and I just love to support our men and women in uniform!!
