Here are some great ways to do something special for our Military:
- Send an email thanking our troops
- Send a postcard from your hometown to our troops
- Send cards to hospitalized veterans, wounded warriors or those living in veteran homes
- Fly your flag at home and at the office
- Urge your community to fly the flag from May 1 through Flag Day, June 14
- Support your favorite military support organization monitarily
- Send a care package to our troops
- Thank a Veteran
- Shake a military service member's hand
- Support our military using your blog, twitter or other social networking accounts
- Write a guest post on why you think it's important to support our troops
- Make a tribute video to our troops and upload it to YouTube (Let us know when you do!)
- Create a video message thanking our troops using Seesmic, Vimeo, 12 seconds, etc. (Let us know when you do!)
- Design a button or badge to be used on blogs and website and we may feature it here
- Hold a troop support party where you and your friends dress in RW&B and write letters of thanks to our troops. Snap photos and we'll blog them and include them on Flickr. Send your letters to us and we'll send them to our troops!
- Visit your local USO and ask how you can volunteer
- Volunteer with eMail Our Military
- Volunteer with you favorite military support or veteran's organization
- Volunteer at your local VFW
- Visit Veterans hospitals
- Start a welcoming/send off committee at your local airport for returning or deploying troops
- Have your church host a veterans appreciation day
- Get your company to support the troops with military discounts or freeebies
- Take an ad out in your community newspaper stating you support your hometown heroes
- Encourage your local radio and news stations to recognize National Military Appreciation Month
- Offer a military spouse a helping hand while their husband or wife is deployed
- Create a large poster in appreciation signed by your company, school or church and it to your nearest VA medical center
- Call or email your representative and ask them to sponser the new National Military Appreciation Month Concurrent Resolution (H.CON.RES 84)
- Send us your ideas for supporting our military and we might add them to the list
These are just a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing. No matter what you do or how you do it, just have a great time showing our troops how much they are appreciated!

Hey - what about wearing RED on FRIDAYS? This is not my idea - it was forwarded to me, and since I've started talking about it, have heard many companies have started promoting it internally, and others are well aware of this effort. Hope you'll support it, too!
