The Peanut Gallery Care Package

Our military service members love care packages, but you don't have to spend alot to send a creative, fun care package straight from your heart.

Here's just one of the many ideas you can use to create a sweet surprise for the service members you support:

Peanut Gallery Care Package

Trail Mix
Sunflower Seeds
Peanuts
Cashews
Macadamia Nuts
Roasted Almonds
Hot Nuts
Corn Nuts

Include a variety of nuts and lots of them!

These are just suggestions to help get you started. You can pick up many of these items at bulk centers like Sam's Club, BJ's Wholesale or Costco. You can pick up party themed items, decoration and other fun stuff inexpensively at party stores like Party City.

As the mom & sister to people with deadly peanut allergies, can I suggest you may also wish to do a 'peanut/nut free version' of this? Many of our service members are also deadly allergic to peanuts, and snack foods in particular often have the phrase "made on machinery that processes peanuts" which keeps them from even trying it.

The care package is a fabulous idea. Just trying to remind folks who aren't aware of someone who suffers from the peanut allergy that numbers are now 1-in-500 people with the allergy.

Thanks! We have many other care packages listed here on our blog under the "Care Package Ideas" category for folks who want other options.

This one in particular is for folks who actually love peanuts and have requested to receive them as snacks. This package makes a great treat for them.
